|Product name||Recombinant Human CTLA-4/CD152 Protein|
|Description||Recombinant Human CTLA-4/CD152 Protein is produced by Human Cell expression system. The target protein is expressed with sequence (Lys36-Asp161) of human CTLA-4/CD152 (Accession #P16410) fused with a 6×His tag at the C-terminus.|
|Purity||> 95% by SDS-PAGE.|
|Endotoxin||< 1 EU/μg of the protein by LAL method. |
|Formulation||Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution of PBS, pH 7.4.|
This protein is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily and encodes a protein which transmits an inhibitory signal to T cells. The protein contains a V domain, a transmembrane domain, and a cytoplasmic tail. Alternate transcriptional splice variants, encoding different isoforms, have been characterized. The membrane-bound isoform functions as a homodimer interconnected by a disulfide bond, while the soluble isoform functions as a monomer. Mutations in This protein have been associated with insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus, Graves disease, Hashimoto thyroiditis, celiac disease, systemic lupus erythematosus, thyroid-associated orbitopathy, and other autoimmune diseases.
