Recombinant Human IL-1RN Protein (RP00003)

Datasheet

Overview

Product nameRecombinant Human IL-1RN Protein
Catalog No.RP00003
DescriptionRecombinant Human IL-1RN Protein is produced by E. coli expression system. The target protein is expressed with sequence (Arg26-Glu177) of human IL-1RN (Accession #NP_776214.1) fused with an initial Met at the N-terminus and a 6×His tag at the C-terminus.
Bio-ActivityMeasured by its ability to inhibit IL-1 alpha-dependent proliferation in D10.G4.1 mouse helper T cells. The ED50 for this effect is 5-40 ng/mL in the presence of 50 pg/mL of rhIL-1 alpha.
Purity> 97% by SDS-PAGE.
Endotoxin< 0.1 EU/μg of the protein by LAL method.
FormulationLyophilized from a 0.22 μm filtered solution of PBS, pH 7.4.
SpeciesHuman
Interleukin-1 receptor antagonist (IL-1RA) also known as IL1RN is a member of the interleukin 1 cytokine family. This protein inhibits the activities of interleukin 1, alpha (IL1A) and interleukin 1, beta (IL1B), and modulates a variety of interleukin 1 related immune and inflammatory responses. A polymorphism of this protein is reported to be associated with increased risk of osteoporotic fractures and gastric cancer.
SynonymDIRA; ICIL-1RA; IL-1ra; IL-1ra3; IL-1RN; IL1F3; IL1RA; IRAP; MVCD4
