LongerAmp Taq 2X PCR Master Mix with Dye combines high quality recombinant Taq klenow DNA Polymerase with a trace amount of Deep Ocean DNA Polymerase. The 3´→5´ exonuclease activity of Deep Ocean DNA Polymerase increases the fidelity and robust amplification of Taq klenow DNA Polymerase. LongerAmp Taq DNA Polymerase offers two fold higher fidelity than Taq klenow DNA Polymerase alone. A wide range of PCR products can be generated, up to 30 kb from lambda DNA or from human genomic DNA.
LongerAmp Taq 2X PCR Master Mix with Dye is an optimized ready-to-use solution containing LongerAmp Taq DNA Polymerase, dNTPs, MgCl2, KCI and stabilizers, as well as two commonly used tracking dyes for DNA gels. On a 1% agarose gel in 1X TBE, Xylene Cyanol FF migrates at ~4 kb and Tartrazine migrates at ~10 bp. Both dyes are present in concentrations that do not mask comigrating DNA bands.
